RCF delivers 5-star sound at Arzaga QC wellness resort

Immersed in a large park and golf club, the 5-star spa and wellness resort, QC Terme di Arzaga, is the latest development of the QC group, known in Europe and worldwide for prestigious wellness centers, spas, spa hotels and resorts. To guarantee a complete relaxation experience, QC Terme renewed its partnership with RCF for the installation of multi-zone audio systems inside the structure with over 70 speakers, all amplified by RCF Business Music systems.
QC Termegarda was created inside the Palazzo Arzaga, a 15th-century Renaissance mansion that stands among the hills of Lake Garda. The history, dating back to the time of the Most Serene Republic of Venice, is harmoniously combined with the latest wellness technologies. Through careful design, construction and management of spas and wellness centers, the wellness philosophy of the “Salus Per Aquam” of ancient Rome is reintroduced in a modern key.

In collaboration with QC’s Audio Video Designer, Gilles Cheney, the RCF Engineering Support Group has developed two separate designs for the hotel and spa. The installation includes a wide range of installation and high weather and humidity rated loudspeakers including compact 2-way DM 41 and DM 41-B loudspeakers, two-way MR 40T loudspeakers, and three-way L2406T column loudspeakers, as well as PL 6X ceiling mounted ceiling lights. Due to architectural constraints in the resort facility, in particular, the L 2406Ts are installed to a custom-designed floor stand developed directly by QC Terme to allow cables to come in from the floor.
The multi-zone sound systems are amplified by several Business Music DMA 82 and 162 amplifiers and managed by special software via a PC. With this software, different music folders can be created for each zone and on/off times and music folder changes can be programmed by setting a different output volume. For example, for the aperitif zone, at a certain time the music folder changes and the volume increases. In addition, the system can also be managed remotely, changing music playlists and volumes without having to go to the venue.
Gilles Cheney, Audio Video Designer at the QC Terme in Arzaga, says “We have been using RCF systems for more than a decade in the spaces of the QC Terme, always obtaining first-rate results and guaranteeing our clients the highest sound quality performance even after so many years, with maximum reliability even in situations of very high humidity typical of spas.”
