For the second time in a row, the Prolight+Sound trade show will be cancelled in 2021 due to the pandemic. In order to still be able to offer its customers and partners a contact point for information and personal conversation, the company Steinigke Showtechnic is organizing a “digital show” on April 20th, 2021.
“We miss the direct, personal exchange with our customers and partners,” explains Anja Metz, Head of Corporate Communications. “Therefore, what the trade fairs used to automatically entail, we now want to pick up at least virtually. At our digital trade show, we want to enable face-to-face conversations. We want to provide information and entertain at the same time.”
In concrete terms, the concept envisions that customers will be able to find out about new products on the website www.steinigke.de during the day on April 20th, 2021, and receive live advice via video chat. In the evening, a livestream will take place from 8 p.m., which will be accessible via the company’s Facebook page as well as via the website. In this livestream, various use cases from the areas of installation, show, theater and mobile DJ will be shown. Product experts Andreas Zöllner and Peter Zahn will have their say and present their highlights from the product range. Viewers will have the opportunity to send in live questions and provide comments.
“Whether we can actually replace the real trade fair with a digital show remains to be seen,” says Matthias Schwab, Managing Director of Steinigke Showtechnic. “What can be said with certainty, however, is that we are preparing something interesting and hope that our customers and partners will enjoy this alternative and take something away from it.”
