After officially launching it worldwide last September, DiGiCo are introducing their new Pre-Amp DMI-MIC card to the American market here at NAMM 2018. Dedicated to the S-Series of digital mixers, DMI-MIC allows eight additional mic inputs to be added to the console, connected through a 25-way D-sub connection, using the same pre-amp that is featured in the console.
Also being presented are the two newest additions to the S-series of consoles, SD12 and S31.
SD12 is the result of DiGiCo’s 15 years of experience in developing digital mixers, and incorporates the best features from the SD and S series. It is a compact yet powerful console with two 15″ touch screens, functionality dual operator mode and the possibility to insert additional DMI cards. SD12 is a simple mixer to use and ideal for tours, corporate events, installations, use in places of worship, theaters or broadcast. Among the features, users can manage 72 input channels, 36 aux / groups, 12 stereo FX units, 16 graphic EQs, 119 dynamic EQs, 119 multiband compressors and 119 DiGiTuBes, 12 VCA.
S31 is the result of the search for greater compactness. It is compact enough to be placed in the rear trunk of a car. The mixer features three 10″ multi-touch screens with the ability to manage up to 10 channels on each screen. It offers the same flexibility as the S21 mixer with its 24 Mic inputs and 12 Line outputs, two DMI ports and a UAD MADI interface for use with a DAW.
