Electro Voice are exhibiting the EVOLVE 50 column system here at NAMM 2018, characterised by a compact design and the attention given to its portability and ease of setup, thanks to practical ergonomic handles and the low weight of the fixture. Inside, there are eight 3.5″ full-range drivers and a 12″ subwoofer, powered by a three-channel amplifier. EVOLVE 50 is able to offer quality sound in a plug-and-play format that is extremely simple to configure.
The waveguide of the fixture allows for a coverage of 120° horizontally by 40° vertically. Remote control is possible through the QuickSmartMobile app, which allows the user to configure up to six EVOLVE 50 systems simultaneously, as well as giving the possibility to receive immediate notifications in the case of any errors or system problems. The four presets (Music, Live, Speech and Club) three-band equaliser, five customisable presets, delay management, phantom power, input level and master volume control complete the features of this particular system.
