NAMM 2018 – AKG

C636 is just one of the novelties presented by AKG at NAMM 2018, a condenser microphone equipped with a proprietary “double shock suspension system” able to considerably reduce noise caused by handling, even during the most energetic performances on stage. The capsule is located on a highly absorbent rubber pad that eliminates any noise from the microphone structure, whilst an adjustable balancing net cancels vibrations across the entire frequency range. Furthermore, the brass layer placed under the capsule acts as a counterweight, increasing stability and providing cleaner acoustics.
