Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is an all-encompassing platform for electronic dance music, an amalgamation of a festival, conferences and a cultural playground that extends across the city for five days in October. ADE’s multiple conferencing streams are divided into nine programs that cover every conceivable aspect of the dance music industry and involves more than 400 presenters in nine venues attracting more than 5000 visitors. The ADE Festival and Playground features more than 450 events and includes live performances from 2000 artisits in 100 clubs and venues. Attracting more than 360,000 people to the city, the festival is supplemented by talks, hardware presentations, exhibitions, promotions and interactive events. It would be hard to envisage of a more important event in the global electronic dance music calendar.
This year ADE has partnered with Pioneer Professional Audio, who have supplied sound systems across the event program in conjuction with Discovery Sound and Vision, including some of conference, playground and club venues across the city. Other respected events like Ibiza’s International Music Summit and UK Festivals such as Latitude and Lost Village, have only enhanced Pioneer Professional Audio’s reputation for excellence in this arena.
Christopher Schwegmann, Marketing Executive at Pioneer Professional Audio commented:
“As a multi-venue, multi-faceted event, ADE needs audio all over Amsterdam. Working with our partners at Discovery Sound and Vision, we were able to provide consistency of quality across a huge diversity of settings. Meeting the challenges presented by an event such as this requires excellent working relationships and we feel that we have established strong ties with ADE that can take us both forward to a very productive future.”
Across the multiple venues at the event, over 120 speakers from Pioneer Pro Audio’s XY range were used, including XY-81s, XY-101s, XY-122s, XY-118S, XY-115S and XY-215s. A number of XPRS fixtures were also utilised, as well as GS-WAVE Stacks and WAV-TWPODS. Many of the speakers were installed with customised gold speaker grills.
