HARMAN Professional Solutions have used LDI 2016 to present their latest offering to the LED Video Panel market, the VDO Face 5. A 5 mm video panel for outdoor and indoor applications, The VDO Face 5 is designed to provide a complete visual solution when mixed with other Martin LED video products.
The VDO Face 5 has also been designed and built with set-building in mind, allowing for fast rigging and connect. They have also strived to make the fixture economically sensible by aiming for a substantially longer lifetime than comparable products.
The VDO Face 5 comes in two different varieties, the VDO Face 5 HB (High Brightness) and the VDO Face 5 HC (High Contrast). Both are flicker-free and therefore ideal for TV applications, and feature Martin P3 technology that allows for great image quality with wide dynamic range. This processes each colour at 16-Bit, providing 48-bit per pixel.
Also from Martin we have the recently introduced Rush Scanner 1 LED fixture. Martin has designed the Rush Scanner 1 to allow lighting designers to achieve high-speed mid-air looks which would be impossible to create with traditional moving head profile fixtures. The scanner utilises a 90W white LED engine, along with two color wheels, two gobo wheels and rotating prism.
At the controller end of the system, we have the newly announced M2GO HD and M1 HD. The M1 HD is designed to follow on in the traditions of the M1, with ergonomics at the heart of the design. Featuring 34 playbacks and 8 encoders for fast user access, it also has the benefit of a folding capacitive multi-touchscreen with 4 encoders.
With an even smaller footprint and large built-in touchscreen, the M2GO HD is designed to offer professional features in a portable package at an affordable price point. Like the M1 HD it features 8 encoders, and 10 playbacks. It boasts support for up to 20 DMX universes, and is equipped with ARTNET and SACN protocols.
