Prolight + Sound Guangzhou 2016 set to open for trade

Fringe programme inspiring the industry with new thoughts

Industry peers can look forward to the forthcoming Prolight + Sound Guangzhou, which takes place from 29 February to 3 March 2016 in Guangzhou. This industry-leading fair will occupy all 13 halls (130,000 sqm) of Area A in the China Import & Export Fair Complex to showcase 1,230 exhibitors presenting more than 1,500 brands from 25 countries and regions (2015: 1,186 exhibitors).

Commenting on the upcoming show, Ms Judy Cheung, Deputy General Manager for Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd shared: “I am delighted to see more exhibitors joining this year and there is a growing number of brands’ direct participation at the show. China’s first industry show of the year highlights extensive range of international brands and products

Prolight + Sound Guangzhou, held at the beginning of the year, is ideal for those in the pro audio and lighting business. One of the exhibitors, Mr Eduardo López, Strategic Project Manager for D.A.S. Audio from Spain, explained the benefits. “Holding the show at the beginning of the year allows us to introduce our latest products to the market and generate sales throughout the year. Prolight + Sound Guangzhou is the reference for China’s entertainment industry where we can see the main industry trends in the near future.” D.A.S will launch the Sound Force Series of club systems which has a unique moving magnet motor resulting in inexistent power compression in the motor design and unparalleled performance.

The early show dates also attract trade visitors from around the world to attend the show. Ms Julie Zhu of the company explained: “The show brings more and more customers from around the world since Guangzhou is one of the industrial bases for light and sound manufacturers. Fringe programme inspiring the industry with new thoughts

In order to provide a comprehensive industry platform to the show attendees, a series of interactive and educational fringe programme loaded with information on the industry’s development and technology advancement will be held alongside the show.

One of the highlights is the Recording Art and Technology Forum. This debut forum will invite reputed pro audio engineers from China to provide insights into cutting-edge technology and application of surround sound recording and other audio technology development. Another featured event is the new PLSG Annual Training Session – Acoustic Master Class hosted by “Audio Engineering”. Industry experts will share their knowledge in the application of acoustic and sound systems in venue and theatre.

Prolight + Sound Guangzhou’s organisers also work closely with The German Entertainment Technology Association (VPLT) and invited industry experts to share expertise with industry peers. Speakers and topics include:
