Expanded halls, with new special product zones, will widen sourcing options
Prolight + Sound Guangzhou is China’s leading pro audio and lighting show, and this year will hold its largest-ever fair at the China Import & Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou from 29 February to 3 March. This falls within the peak sourcing season for the industry. In the 2015 edition the show was attended by 1,186 exhibitors and 63,785 visitors. The 2016 exhibition will cover 130,000 sqm of trade space in the 13-hall entirety of the complex’s Area A, as well as outdoor space.
The expanded space will offer a prime platform for exhibitors to introduce their new products, network with industry members and strengthen their brand image. Some new faces have been attracted to the new edition, including: Adam Hall, ALESIS, ArphoniA, BOSE, clearvoice systems, DiGiCo, GTD, K-array, Kling & Freitag, HK Audio, L-Acoustics, Maquinas Iberica, NEXT Audio and SHURE. On the other hand, many returning brands and companies have already confirmed their spaces, including ACE, ACME, AD System, ADJ, beyerdynamic, Beta Three, BMB, C-MARK, d&b audiotechnik, EM Acoustic, FBT, Fidek, Harman International, Hi-LTTE, HiVi, KVANT, Laser world, LTS, NEXO, partyhouse, Pioneer, QSC, SAE, SE audiotechnik, Sennheiser, Soundking, TASSO, Taiden, T.D Taichee, TJ Media, Turbosound, YAMAHA and ZSOUND.
Many exhibitors feel Prolight + Sound Guangzhou is the optimum marketplace in Asia for showcasing their latest products and advancements in the industry. According to Mr Shawn Xiao, Marketing Manager, Smart Target (agent of CVS, Sabine), the location of the exhibition is also ideal, he said: “Prolight + Sound Guangzhou has a good reputation among Chinese and international industry people. It is also well located in Guangzhou where all the local audio brands’ factories are located. The show holds the key to open up the Southern China market. By joining the Guangzhou show we hope to increase our brand awareness and launch newproducts, especially for CVS and Sabine speakers, to contractors and distributors across China.”

The pro light and sound industry continues to grow each year and Prolight + Sound Guangzhou is on the cutting edge of that development. Offering buyers an exhaustive and global product array is the focus of the 2016 show and attendees will not be disappointed.
Mr Yang Jiang, Marketing Director, MYC Technology in China hopes to use the visibility and prominence of the show to assert his company’s place in the industry and introduce new products: “We want to make use of the show’s impact on the industry to leverage our brand and business. At the 2016 show we are going to launch Kling & Freitag VIDA series outdoor line array and CADAC CDC6 series digital mixer.”
For convenience and fluidity, halls will be categorised into Audio Brand Name Halls, Pro Audio Halls, Lighting Halls, KTV and Enping Microphone Halls. Additionally, Hall 1.2 will gather all the latest products for microphones, conference systems and public address systems. The lighting section will be expanded into three lighting halls plus a lighting zone at Hall 2.2, which will bring more variety of lighting and stage products to industry buyers.
GTD Lighting Ltd hopes to further expand their already well-known brand at the next edition of Prolight + Sound Guangzhou, Mr Jin Yu from GTD Lighting Ltd’s marketing department said: “We are a leading lighting company with branch offices in the US, Russia, Brazil, Dubai and Europe, our target clients are theatre and professional performance groups. Our booth will be one of the biggest at the show and we will demonstrate the most advanced and creative lighting designs to the audience. I believe we will become one of the main highlights at the fair.”
In order to provide an all-inclusive platform for show attendees to source, network and learn, the organisers have partnered with industry associations worldwide such as The German Entertainment Technology Association (VPLT) to host an educational training course which will bring first-hand market insights to the industry. Also a series of seminars and live demonstrations such as outdoor line array, audio demo room and product presentations will return in the 2016 edition.
