SGM’ LS-4.6 LED screens featuring broadcast of Russian game show

On July 19, the well-known and prestigious game show KiViN broadcasted from the new theater Amber Hall with 2,000 seats in Svetlogorsk, Kaliningrad. In a mixture of comedy and musical contributions, 18 teams contended against each other for the main prizes. No less than 273 x LS-4.6 LED panels were mounted as a big screen display in the middle of the main stage, ensuring a vivid background for the participants on stage. The massive screen surface was 10.06 meters wide and 6.24 meters high.

The LS-4.6 is a hi-res video panel carrying 3in1 SMD LED chips delivering great picture quality and brightness. Moreover, making it ideal for applications such as TV installations is the fact that the screen is noiseless and that it has a high refresh rate of 2,880 Hz.

The well-established Russian company LTM Music, represented by its five divisions across Russia, is the organizer behind the rental and installation of the LED screens for KiViN.

The show has been aired for decades. The first time was back in 1961, which underlines its popularity. Besides Russia, the show is also favored in former Soviet countries. Actually, for the last 20 years it has been broadcast from Latvia – and has only as of this year been relocated back to Russia. With entrance tickets with a price range from 80-240 EUR and a totally sold out show, it further emphasises that this is not only a hit TV success, but also as massive live event that people consider being a great experience. Even audience sign up to follow the dress rehearsals in the two days leading up to the live transmission.
