Recently, the 14-member Russian rock band Leningrad did a concert in their own home town of St Petersburg. The concert venue was DK Lensoveta, where they went on stage on June 20.
To emphasize the band’s stage presence, strong visual effects supported the artists. Rental company EuroShow that organized the event made sure that SGM fixtures made an impressive impact on the audience. With 16 x Q-7 RGBW color LED flood blind strobes and 525 x LB-100 LED balls coupled with 11 x TLD 612 A Touring LED Drivers they succeeded in just that. With their location on top of the stage, the Q-7s and the LED balls formed a big frame for the stage performance. Especially, the LED balls composed a crucial part of the stage set as they were used to shape the big centerpiece chandelier as well as draperies.
Leningrad is known as a provocative band that celebrates obscene profanity and alcoholism: “The good side of life” as they call it. For that reason, attempted large-scale performances has been banned in several instances in their home country.
