Marco Roveri, product specialist at Leading Technologies, showed us the innovations from dbx during PL+S 2015.
PowerRack8 is a 19” rack designed to work with up to eight 500 series modules in vertical configuration. The back panel has eight slots with XLR input and output, balanced with eight 1/4″ I/O slots, while the front of the rack has a 48V phantom switch. PowerRack8 has a robust metal structure, and has been designed to be fully compatible with the 500 series.
676 is, on the other hand, a mono channel strip with class A pre-amp microphone, with compressor and limiter of the 162SL series, and a three-band semi-parametric equalizer that enables to control mids. It has an easy to see vintage style VU as well as input and out put on the XLR.
AFS2 is the new processor for feedback suppression with two channels, created as per the AFS224. Management is automatic and intuitive thanks to the “Wizard” function that configures the processor following the features of the venue where the audio plant is located, as well as for fixed installation and LIVE applications, with 24 filters programmable for each channel. The AFS™ (Advanced Feedback Suppression) algorithm has been completely redesigned with faster recognition times and more detailed and aimed filters. Last but not least, a front LCD display for easy and fast set-up and monitoring. It has Wizard Setup Display LCD with 24 programmable for each channel, the possibility of processing two channels independently or in stereo mode, dedicated filters for applications such as LIVE, spoken, music, listening and VU meter with 24 LEDs per channel, as well as XLR and TRS IN/OUT connections.
