At PL+S 2015, d&b audiotechnik presented two new products, as well as an important update to its Array Calc software.
Starting right from this second product, we learned that the software now includes a new function called “ArrayProcessing” to increase even more the performance of d&b line arrays. All details can be found on the company’s website.
With regards to ‘hardware’, on the other hand, the new D20 4-channel module, presented for the first time at PL+S, which is a Class D amplifier with active Power Factor Correction (PFC) e con la able to work with voltages of 100V – 240V, 50 – 60Hz.
The extremely clean lines in two D20 racks can be controlled using a TFF touchscreen and a rotary encoder at the front. At the back all connections – such as NL8 and NL4, XLR, Speakon – and Ethercon eand RJ 45 that enable the D20 to interface with the d&b Remote network using OCA via Ethernet and CAN – Bus respectively.
MAX2 is, on the other hand, a stage monitor with 15” coaxial loudspeaker and a 1.4” compression driver that can achieve 75° conical constant directivity dispersion.
It is a multi-use product that can be used as a stand-alone speaker or positioned in a drum-fill with a sub woofer. Its marine plywood construction and finishing in high-resistant paint make it ideal for touring.
