At NAMM 2015, Behringer presented the X Air, a series of stageboxes with integrated digital mixer or with remote control. X-Air is easily transportable thanks to the possibility of remote control by pc, laptop and tablet, and includes four different models, X12, X16, X18 and XR18. All models have Midas preamps, bi-directional MIDI/USB interface, Ultranet connectivity for P16 personal monitor system, two channels for wi-fi and USB interface. Equipped with the same FX X32digital mixer engines, the virtual FX Rack offers access to four multi-effect true-stereo processors such as delay, chorus and dynamic.
The idea behind this mixer is that of decreasing dimensions and costs, completely eliminating the hardware interface, which is available only by wifi on tablet, laptop or computer. In this way, the mixer and the sound technician no longer have to have a fixed position, with the possibility of the mixer being on the stage, eliminating transport and stage boxes.
The new auto-mixing function is also very interesting. X Air mixers function with all platforms: iOS, Android, PC, Mac and Linux.
