NAMM 2015: Universal Audio presents Apollo Expanded

Apollo‘s new interface is a complete “Thunderbolt system”, able to provide Mac users the possibility of carrying out “mix and match” operations between Apollos with Thunderbolt ports. They also include many new types of plug-ins and the new Console 2.0 with 25 new features in response to specific requests from users.

Now, users of Apollo Twin, Apollo DUO, Apollo QUAD, and Apollo 16, interfaces with Thunderbolt, will be able to manage up to four Apollos (at the same time) and six UAD-2 — adding I/O e DSP as the studio gets bigger. Cascade connection with Thunderbolt cabling between the different units will continue to become easier; the newly-presented Flex Driver will enable users to get the configuration of the I/O of the Core Audio and there will also be the possibility of adding an Apollo Twin as desktop monitor control, as well as additional DSP and therefore increase I/O.
