Taking place from 15 to 17 April 2015, the Eventplaza Conference offers an extensive programme of lectures for the event sector as part of Prolight + Sound, the international fair of technologies and services for events, installation and production. The speakers at the three-day conference are well-renowned; they will talk about trends and strategies and also new ideas and initiatives for the event sector. An integral part of the Eventplaza Conference is the International Safety Conference (I-ESC) which deals with the issue of safety at festivals, concerts, major events and other gatherings. The Eventplaza Conference programme is targeted primarily at event and incentive managers, marketing, communication and human resources professionals and organisers of congresses and conferences.
In 2015 the programme will be divided for the first time into three thematic areas with each day of the conference focussing on a different theme. Wednesday (15 April 2015) will be devoted entirely to Event Safety when the I-ESC will deal with the issue of ‘assuming and delegating responsibility’. The speakers will explain, for example, risk assessment, legally accountable delegation, duties of company employees and other legal issues. On Thursday (16 April 2015) the focus will be on contemporary methods of presenting products and staging events. Amongst other things the lectures deal with the question of what the event sector can learn from the film and entertainment industry. In this way those attending the Eventplaza Conference also gain synergistic benefit from the wide industry spectrum offered by Prolight + Sound. The speakers on the third day of the conference (17 April 2015) concentrate on human resource development in the event sector. Among the main issues are the effects of the minimum wage on the event sector, temporary employment and bogus self-employment. “Focussing on a different topic on each of the three days enables greater contextual depth and a more effective targeting of particular visitor groups,” says Michael Biwer, Director of Prolight + Sound. “The Eventplaza Conference programme addresses head-on the current challenges faced by this sector and makes a significant contribution to further education and professional qualification in the event sector.”
In addition to these expert lectures importance is also given to enabling participants to exchange ideas and network within the industry. To this end the Eventplaza Conference offers a new networking lounge near to the event stage. Here it is possible to meet the speakers and other visitors and to discuss issues with them directly in greater depth. The conference will take place in the Portalhaus on the site of the Frankfurt trade fair.
Furthermore the Prolight + Sound exhibition halls offer a plethora of new products and innovations for successful events including everything from lighting, sound and stage technology through presentation and conference technology to software solutions for event organisers, furniture, decorative elements, transport solutions and much more. To provide professional visitors from the event sector with an efficient way of finding those of the over 900 exhibitors that are relevant for them, there is an Eventplaza Quickfinder which provides an easy-to-use overview. They are also especially indexed in the online exhibitor search. Further services are also planned to make the visit to the Eventplaza Conference an even more enjoyable and organised experience.
Participation in the Eventplaza Conference is free to all visitors to Prolight + Sound.
