Chauvet Professional, a leading global manufacturer of professional luminaires, sponsored the “Live Production of the Year” and “Favorite Video Company” categories as part of the annual TPi Awards, recently organized at Novotel London West hotel. Additionally, a white London taxi featuring the Chauvet Professional logo was transformed into a photo booth and entertained guests who took turns to have their pictures taken.
Michael Brooksbank, General Manager for Chauvet Europe, sees great value in sponsoring the TPi Awards. “Sponsoring two categories this year was a great opportunity for Chauvet Professional to contribute to the industry which we proudly service,” he said. “We have been a sponsor for three years now, and once again, it has been an honor to participate and to recognize premium players who design, supply and operate some of the greatest live events.”
The Chauvet Professional cab turned photo booth contributed to the festive atmosphere and entertained visitors passing through the foyer in one of the adjacent hallways. “The cab added a whimsical touch to the event, and turned out to be very popular,” Brooksbank said. The cab was lit inside by Chauvet DJ COLORband PiX fixtures, while more Chauvet Professional WELL 2.0 wireless wash lights lit its surroundings.
2014 marks the 12th consecutive year that the TPi brand has given accolade to industry winners during the TPi Awards ceremony. The host this year was Huey Morgan, New York native and now London local, who has been a rock ‘n’ roll fixture since the ‘90s following his pursuits as an artist, being the front man of funk driven hip hop outfit Fun Loving Criminals, as a popular DJ for BBC6 Music and as a TV personality, continuously winning over the British public.
